H4 to H1 processing

Hi

I am on H1 (OCT 2007- MAY 2009) , I have paystubs before I transfered from H1 to H4 due to personnel reasons. My H1 validity date is Oct 2007-Sep 2010.

My question is since I was on H4 during the validity period can I go back to H1 and work again.

Does my H1B comes under new quota meaning do I need to apply for H1 or can I reinitiate my Old H1 .

Please suggest.

You can claim the remainder of the 6 years in total. You need to wait for a H1 non cap petition approval with COS to be approved first before joining them. I would also suggest in a very friendly way that use GOOGLE to bone up on all matters H1 since you may have time now to avoid being exploited.
