H1b slots unavailable for chennai for November last week and december??

Hi,

I am trying to schedule a slot for interview with US consulate Chennai. I am not able to find any slots for end of November or all of December. There are slots only till November 8th for this year.

One of my friend was able to schedule an interview for end of Decemberi.e, Dec 31st. Earlier I had thought the visa appointments open up before 3 weeks. The ustravedocs.com rep was saying all the slots for November and December are used up and the 3 week window does not hold true anymore.

Does anyone know this? or is something wrong in here?

I am very concerned now that I might be stuck in India for almost 3-4 months due to this delay. Please help!!
