L1B is expiring in Jan'13, I94 is vaild till 2015. can i call my Husband on L2 on my i94

My L1B Visa is expiring in Jan'13 however my I94 is vaild till 2015.

1) can i call my Husband on L2 on my i94.

2) Can he apply for EAD after coming to US.
