questions reg changing AOS categories

hello,

i applied for AOS based on an approved NIW for physicians. the application is now pending and should be approved once i have completed 5 years of medical service (which is in 2 years).

i also married an AC this june and would now like to change the category of my application for AOS (based on approved i130). does anybody know how to exactly do this? i am not aware of a specific form that i would need to complete.

also, once the category has been changed, would my "old" EAD still be valid?

This is called Interfiling. There is lots of info about that on the Net.

Essentially, you just inform USCIS to use the I130 instead of the I-140 as underlying immigrant petition for the I-485.

File the I-130. Once you get a receipt, you can call the USCIS onyour I-485 and change eligibility to the new category.
