Travel abroad while H1/H4 renewal petition is being filed??

Hello,

I need some info....The petition of my husband H1B visa renewal and mine H4 visa renewal is gonna be filed by his company lawyer soon. But he is travelling to Canada for his work regularly. So I need to know that Is there any risk of travelling outside USA (e.g. Canada) when petition for renewal of H1 and H4 is being filed.

Generally they say it is risky. Since you are saying your husband is travelling on work I guess his employer can advice better
