visa approved in delhi but then passport came back with 221(g)

i am on EVC model and had my stamping last week in delhi and VO said visa is approved and kept my passport. but when the passport arrived it had visa refusal based on 221(g) white form and asked for some more documents to be submitted.

those are -

1) offer letter

2) vendor contract

3) client letter

4) project description

5) I129 and LCA

I will be submitting these documents tomorrow but i dont have the client letter as the client has stopped giving client letters to anyone.. can i submit some other documents like some work emails or my work ID webpage printed etc? will that help?

will this 221(g) processing take too long?

any inputs? i am considering filing for h1b because i dont want to wait for 3-4months

If you don't have enough documentation to support your case, then its better to find new employment.
