visaven
Hi, I am a Jan filer and wanted to use AC21 to change the work location but for the same company. I asked our lawyer and he is saying that it would be best if we wait further more and actually till towards the end of approval (I guess he meant to say, to wait till the VB where I would become current again). According to him, it would actually give a negative impact on my application and on my company if we do it right at 180day mark. Is this really true? Please suggest and is there anybody out there, who used AC21 right at the 180 day mark. Thanks Link to comment
Belle
Get a second opinion. Your lawyer seems to be concerned that your job may not qualify for AC21, and there will be further questions. Link to comment
Attorney_22
In addition, the employer’s attorney could be concerned about USCIS’ perceived “intent” when the I-485 was filed. Link to comment
tusharvk
certainly using ac21 right at 180 day mark is not desirable. Not sure why it is desired to wait till dates current. Link to comment
cap-gap
485 application can be processed & pre adjudicated even if VB is not current..u will not get "intent to approve" notoification..so things may get complicated to file AC21 if ur application is approved.. Link to comment
to_vaib
Why do you want to file AC21 if you are not changing your job or company. Just changing the address means you just need to file AR-11 (Online address change). Are you changing the job within same company? Link to comment
