Client Issue

ABC company is your employer.

You know on what you are working. If you work on a project onsite, then the client is where you working on the project.

If you work on your employer's premises on different projects, then you don't have a specific client.

Your employer should know all this stuff.

If you work at client location and you have a client letter, then you can tell that goverment agency as your client. If you don't work at client location/you do not have the client letter then it is better to tell that, you work full time to ABC and ABC does inhouse development work for govt sector/private sector.

Hi,

I am in same boat with small difference.

I am full time employee for company ABC.

Through ABC I work for client XYZ at client location, and my client provides services to US government.

my client pays my employer ABC and he pays me.

Can someone please let me know which model I fall in?

Please ignore my lack of knowledge about all this, I am planning to go to India in Sept for stamping.

Thanks.

You are in the classic (proper) EC consulting model. (All consultants should be in this model, especially with regards to pay.) To the best of my knowledge, you will need documentation of the above noted relationships, .e.g. payroll statements from your employer, documentation of your working at the client site on a valid contract. Your employer and lawyer should make sure you have all the necessary documentation.
