sg1010
So, long story short - my H1B got reaffirmed on June 13, 2012 and I contacted the Hyderabad consulate. They told me that they are waiting for my petition to show up in PIMS and then they will call me for reinterview. I called up DOS and they told me that they haven't even received my case from USCIS. Then I call up USCIS and they told me that I should allow 30-90 days for my case to reach DOS. How ridiculous and slow, right?? Any suggestions on what can be done in such a situation apart from waiting? My employer's attorney is reaching out to "someone" to expedite it but unfortunately that information is not transparent to me yet. Link to comment

Ask your employer to contact the concerned dept through a Senator if possible. Also wait for 2 months or so before you hear anything from the Consulate. Good luck with your re-interview.. Not sure how that's gonna help but I'll find out I guess. I wish the systems across different depts (USCIS, DOS, KCC and whoever else) were more integrated. It would have made everyone's life easier. But apparently that's not what they want! Link to comment
