I've been waiting since May 29th 2012 ..did any of the other people who recieved 221g from middle of may 2012 recieved clearance?

I'm too much worried as initially people who got 221g in feb or march got cleared in month time max.

Please update your status if anyone heard back from Embassy for 221g blue.

Same boat , I got it the same day at Ottawa. As you mentioned, couple months back the default was about a month in order to receive clearance.

I believe that the number of applicants double if not tripple during the summer, so we should expect the default time to do the same. I think we should hear from them in one week (after our 7th week) or two.

Please let us know if you have gotten clearance from Ottawa and did submit your application during the third week of May 2012. You would be of great help.

Hello @yakar and dude9112,

Sorry to hear about your 221g's. I know it is a real pain to get stuck in canada. Can you please tell us what was the reason behind the 221g that might help me and the people who are going for visa stamping...Thank you in advance..

@itsmeraj001

there is no definite known reason only people can speculate...mine seems to be becoz of the school i went and i had traffic voilation in the past so either or both might have contributed for 221g in my case i would think.

@yakar

Did you heard back anything from Embassy it seems two guys and one girl got their approval who had interview before may 23rd.

I hope i get something

No still nothing! I remain hopeful that things would be taking care of either next week or the following one. It is just going thru the process and we hit the wrong time (summer) or any major holiday. Let's hope for the best. I also notice that the emails from the embassy are sent out after 3:00PM so I dont bother checking before that.

@ itsmeraj001

As stated by dude9112, there is no one obvious reason for this 221 g. All the explanations given here and there are just speculations nothing more. One piece of advice, I can provide you with, unless you absolutely have to leave the US don't try to do so. Stay in the US. This 221 g eats you from inside, it is not worthy.

Keep praying and be strong. Everything will be fine!

People speculate about the reasons, there is no definite answer to why you get the 221 g, My advice: unless you really need to leave the US don't try , this 221 g eats you from the inside

dude9112 did hear from them. I emailed them yesterday, and I was informed today that my case is still pending, Now I am losing hope, can't know anything about this. Have done everything right and being treated like that..I have no word to describe the frustration. This is 8 weeks now!!!

Hi Dude9112,

I got 221 G blue adminstrative processing on July 16th 2012 @ Ottawa consulate and its my 6th week and no update from embassy yet. Can you please share the email you got from the embassy regading your approval.

The VO took my passport and I797 during my interview, did they keep your passport as well or did they returned it to you.

Did you collect your passport , how long it took once you got the approval.

Hi Yakar,

Thanks,
