Magm
I got my 485 approval yesterday. No RFEs, no interview. Since 2007, when I received EAD, I've been working for my employer/sponsor. For the first year I was getting paid 100% of the prevailing wage mentioned on the PERM LC. Then the company had some financial problems and I agreed to receive 50% of the prevailing wage. Now the 485 is approved and my employer/sponsor is still not able to pay the prevailing wage. I'm ok with this, but: Will that cause any problems for future naturalization? What is the best solution in this situation? Thanks! Link to comment
Belle
Things happren. You can either renegotiate your agreement or you may find a different employer, since your sponsor is no longer able to give you the job they promised. Link to comment
Magm
Thanks for your comment Belle. From the USCIS point of view can that be a "problem" if I would stay with my sponsor now, after 485 is aproved and I'm only receiving 50% of the prevailing wage? Link to comment
Belle
As a green card holder you are free to negotiate your salary. There is no obligation on the side of the employer to pay you the proffered salary (unlike being on H1). Link to comment
