Changing client location (different state) while on H1B and I-485 pending...

Hi All,

I have seen some threads that deal with this but I am seeing contradictory information.

I have been in H1B and work at different client locations. In LCAs my employer has given primary place of work and secondary place of work.

Primary is the company head office location. Secondary changes according to my client location.

I filed I-485 in March 2012 and got my EAD/AP in April 2012. I'll be eligible for AC21 in Sept or Oct 2012.

But I had to move to a different to work for a different client in April 2012.Company filed an LCA with the new work location details.

I filed AR-11 change of address online which also asked me if I wanted to change the address in any pending petitions.

I submitted the change of address for I-485, I-765 and I-131 online and also got a confirmation letter from USCIS TSC about the

change.

Employer Location is A. I worked in location B when my I-485 was applied. I am at location C now.

Does this moving in any way affect my GC processing?

Since GC is for a future offer why does it matter if I change location? Isn't GC independent of the H1B employment?

Thanks

Z

The move has no impact on your I-485, other than the address. Your green card job offer is still where it was originally filed. You may be asked to provide another confirmation that the job exists in the original location... or maybe not.

Zee,

Just one more clarification. Does your case still sit in the same processing center after the move ? the reason for question is i'm thinking to move to a diff client but same employer with my 485 current in NSC.

Thank You.

When I filed 485 it was processed by TSC. And after I did online change of address, the letter with confirmation of that change came from TSC. So I guess they have kept me in TSC even after address change.
