gauravg
Few questions on AC21 and Self employment: 1. Can you invoke AC21 to self employment? 2. If yes, what is the best corporate structure to have? 3. In order to invoke AC21, there has to be an employer - employee relationship. Can I, a 100% owner of my LLC, employ myself? 4. Can I a 100% owner of my LLC, sign my own employment verification letter? 5. I have been told that as an owner of an LLC, I cant pay myself a salary unless I also register the firm as a S corp. S Corporation can also be registered by US Citizens and permanent residents, of which I am neither at this point. Any success stories of self employment? If yes, please post it. I have not received a good answer to these questions after crawling the net for days and contacting a few attorneys. Thanks. Link to comment
Belle
I don't think there are any restrictions from the immigration side. As long as you can show that you are working in a similar profession you should be ok. AC21 to self employment is not really a DIY project. Talk to a good lawyer. Link to comment
