Minimum Salary Requirement for H1B approval

Hi,

There is no where mentioned on the USCIS website were it says that the minimum salary requirement for a candidate to make in order to apply for H1 B visa or that a person should make 60,000 to maintain the H1 B visa status. However, I have read this in various threads and forums, but I do not find any thing related to it on USCIS website, is this true? If so, how does it vary?

I would be glad to hear any suggestions regarding this issue.

The salary has to match or exceed the prevailing wage for the job in the region where the job is located.

There is no "one size fits all" number.

Hi,

Thank you for the response. I work as a Data Analyst for a state agency in Las Cruces, Dona Ana county, NM. But I do not see any list of prevailing wages for this specific position. In a situation like this, how do I check if I meet the prevailaing wages?

Can you please suggest me regarding this issue.
