No more canada visit visas in person at Washington,LA or Newyork

Canada visit visas were not given or no services of inperson at any location.

Only we should mail the documents to Detroit or Seattle. This is effective from June 18th. If you have already send your visiting visas to newyork after June 18th, you are gonna get it back....

Washington Yes. NYC and LA still accept the applications. Your information is wrong. NYC and LA offices will no more offer Temporary Resident Permits which is different from Temporary Resident Visa.

they are giving visit visas in new york. it says that they would not give temporary resident permit which is different from temporary resident visa - also called as visitor's visa. I too got confused with both the terms. New york is giving the visitor visa in person and by mail. Washington DC does not do visitor visa but they have another thing called temporary resident permit that they would be doing which is not the regular visitor visa.

Do you have a link for this information.. I read this information on LA CIC site. But I believe it is no longer the case.

But the site still gives the timings for in person. Let me know if you have been in LA Consulate in the past week or so.

Can you please provide the source of information?.

As i went to NY in person on july 3rd 2012 and i picked up my passport on July 5th 2012 (as july 4th was a holiday).

So please check once again before you post something.

It is 3.27pm EST Jul 2012 when I'm writing this.

I just called the Canadian Consulate New York, New York @ 212-596-1628. The lady told me that they are accepting TRV(Visiting Visa) applications In-Person and by Mail as well.

I've have mailed my application to Canadian Consulate at New York though.
