H4-Visa Interview in India- for Working Dependant- NOC

Hi All,

I am in India. My spouse is currently working in a private organisation in India. My H1-B visa was approved three weeks before. We were not able to attend the interview together due to some other reason. My spouse's H4 interview date is scheduled for 9th july.

Do we require No Objection Certificate(NOC) from her employer to attend Visa interview? (Spouse is planning to take a long leave from work) . we are having difficulty in getting the NOC. Is NOC mandatory?

NOC has no relevance to the visa.
