varun_sethi
Hi, I wanted to know if its legal for the beneficiary to pay for premium processing of I-140? I have heard of people in small consulting companies do this but mine is a big reputable company and wanted to know if its legal? Additionally, would someone be able to comment if usually companies would allow beneficiaries to self pay for Premium processing of I-140 or sometimes companies might have policies to not at all allow any premium processing of 140 at all (even self pay)…? Thanks! Link to comment

Thanks! Yes its legal to pay for PP for I-140. I think it's legal for PP including H1B, not sure though. I however paid for PP for my I-140 (and am I glad that I did). The company was kind enough to split the cost which was unexpected. I don't know though why a company wouldn't allow it and don't know either how would you pay for it if they don't allow it as the attorney works for the employer not the beneficiary. Link to comment
JoeF
For the GC, the LC has to be paid for by the employer. Who pays for I-140 and I-485 is up to an agreement with the employer. Link to comment
