H1B stamping in Canada

Hi,

I am currently working in US on H1B visa.

My Visa is getting expired in mid August 2012.

I am planning to get my H1B stamped from vancouver, Canada.

I have couple of questions:

1) Is the Canada visa issued based on US visa validity ?

2) Even after my US visa expires, can I still go to Canada for stamping ?

Your Canada Visa is issued based on your I-94 Validity on the I-797A approval notice.

Yes, even after your US Visa expires, you can go to Canada for stamping as long as you have a valid Canadian Visa.

1.You are applying for Canadian visa, so it is not all related to US visa. Just show your 797 approval

2. You can take your car into canada. But make sure that your car insurance is accepted in Canada.

Ok I will confirm that my insurance will work on Canada.

But do I need to apply for Canadian visa to get stamp for my H1b visa?

Do I fill seperate DS-160 form for H1 and H4 when we are taking the interview at the same time
