But you need to be specific about what your current situation is , employer, 485 status etc. Link to comment
Belle
You can work for whomever you like to EAD. You want to do part time at McDonalds? You can do it. From your question, it is not clear what category you are in and whether you need AC21 protections. Link to comment
Attorney_22
Generally, EAD work authorization allows an individual to work in whatever legal means they wish. However, if that EAD is based on a pending I-485 petition and you are not working for your I-140 sponsor it is possible USCIS will issue an RFE or a Notice of Intent to Deny asking you to document your intent to work for the sponsor in the job offered. If you would like to discuss this in more detail it is advisable to speak to a qualified U.S. immigration attorney. The Murthy Law Firm has a very well-regarded Green Card Department with extensive experience who would be able to provide you with excellent assistance. Please feel free to call our office to schedule a consultation with one of our attorneys. Link to comment
abnew
Thanks Dknight,Belle,Attorney_22. Belle, I passed 485 in Aug 2007. So I believe my case is eligible for AC21. Attornney_22, What happens if 1-140 Sponsor is out of business? Thanks Link to comment
