Changing client before H1B start date

Hi all,

I am on OPT now, My H1B is going to be started on Oct 1st . My project is getting over by July. I have another job in hand with same employer with different client. Can I switch the job Now?.

If i switch the when should i apply for H1B amendment?

Even if i apply for amendment how risky it is going to be when you go for H1B stamping in INDIA?.

Will they rise any question saying that "You applied for a H1B using this client. But you never worked for this client in your H1B"?

Based on it will they reject the stamping?

Please advise me for this situation.
