I have my current petition valid till 30 Sep 2012. Also, my extension has been approved . it is valid from 1 Oct 2012 to 30 Sep 2015.

I plan to go for Visa stamping in August. Will the extension petition be considered while stamping the Visa.

Yes if your visa is approved you will get it till 30th September 2015...one of my friend went for stamping in may and got it approved till Sept 2015
