As Per New Regulations on June 18 - Where to get Canadian Visitor Visa in-person

Since getting a Canadian visitor visa in-person would be faster, which office supports going in person and applying for a visitor visa now that DC is not issuing it any more.??

Visa and immigration services in the North American processing network have recently changed.

As of June 18, 2012, the visa office in New York will no longer accept Temporary Resident Permit, Rehabilitation or Authorization to Return to Canada applications submitted in person; the application will be returned to the applicant. Applications sent by mail, postmarked after June 18, 2012, and received at the visa office in New York will be returned to the applicant.

Where to Go and apply for Canadian Visitor visa in person so that we get it back on the same day or the next.?? ( Los Angeles, Detroit, etc)

Not Detroit. I had to send my application by post. It has been 2 weeks since.

I think you can no longer apply in-person but only via mail. The processing time is anywhere between 15-30 days. Consulates in NY, LA & Detroit are only accepting the applications via mail.

Not Detroit. I had to send my application by post. It has been 2 weeks since.

I applied in Detroit consulate by Mail last week. I have sent both me and my wife's passport through mail with USPS Express Prepaid envelope, hoping to get my passport by July 20th 2012.
