dele Posted June 19, 2012 Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 When your petition is approved, USCIS updates the PIMS database with the details. The Visa Officer will query the PIMS database to confirm the validity of the I-797 form you have presented to them. In summary, PIMS verification is simply the visa officer checking that your approved petition is genuine and it is done during the interview process. Link to comment
