What is the right time for h1 stamping for master students

Hi,

I am working from last 2 1/2 years in USA and i did my masters in here . My h1 is approved for 3 years ( from oct1st 2012).

I am planning to go for h1 visa stamping in last week of november 2012 .

Can any one please tell me that it the right time or not?

I don't think there is anything like a right time per se since you already have your approval and you are going after the H1B has become effective. A friend of mine went a month after his own became effective. I went about 4 months after mine became effective. I would have gone earlier but I could not find a spot.

Some people 'say' to wait at least 2 months to be sure your records are in PIM. Again, I'm not aware of any evidence that makes this true.
