The email contains the receipt number and says that the receipt notice will mailed (snail-mailed) to the address on the application. It might take a week or so to arrive. Link to comment

toashishmantri Posted April 13, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 13, 2012 I was under the impression that USCIS is sending emails in bulk to everyone once in a day, that too like 12pm or 12am, or something like that but I was wrong. I got 2 emails from USCIS today. 11:45pm: Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity 1:15pm: Your Case Status: Decision Everyone, those are waiting for thr receipt or decision, I am sure if yours H-1b is filed in PP, everything will be done in next 3-5 working days. I think you need to wait for him to get back ,sometimes your employer will get the email too from USCIS Link to comment
