I don't know if it is myth or not but one thing for sure, it is ABUSE and may create problems for those people who are in genuine need to early walk-ins.

I know few who did early walk in for FP and got their 485 approval, i followed the FP notice date and still in initial review. There is nothing we can do.

Yes early walk-ins will definitely create a problem in future because of people who try to exploit the opportunity and the person in real need may be turned down.
