Multiple PERM - different employer, same job functions

I am not aware of the DOL instructions and was seeking some inputs if I can have 2 different employers file PERM with almost the same job functions/title during the same month? Will it negatively influence the PERM processing, audiits/denials? I ask this question because I received a general audit on my first application (future employer), and the application with my current employer has been in pending status (no response received for filing done in early Nov 2011). Any insight would truely help me plan my future plan of action, as I am phasing out my 6 yrs term in next 2 months. Please help ...

Yes. You can apply as many PERMs as if you can find a suitable employer. It doesn't affect in other PERM processing.
