toashishmantri
Hi All, I am working for a American company which is making software for companies like PGE, etc. I am not a consultant and my company is not a consulting company who hires people and place them in other companies. I am directly hired by my company. SO NO CONSULTING COMPANY IN BETWEEN, WHATSOEVER. My company will be filing my H1b for this April 2012. Few doubts: 1. what is EC and EVC model ? (I know full form, want to know more about these, please explain by example if possible) 2. who are impacted by this ? only consultants or everyone ? Link to comment
JoeF
EC and EVC are terms for consulting only. Employer-Client, and Employer-Vendor-Client. Link to comment

There is nothing more to know if you know the abbreviations. What exactly you want to know? 2.) What kind of impact are you talking of? Link to comment

What kind of impact are you talking of? Even if someone knows the abbreviations, i guess only people from consultancy really knows the exact meaning behind these works. I dont expect someone who came on F1 visa in US and then got hired full time by some US company (yahoo/ebay/microsoft) to know about EC, EVC, etc models. Link to comment
