H4 Visa entry in US for first time

Hi,

My H1 is expiring September 30^th 2012. Wife's visa stamping is done last December (until September 30^th too) and she's coming in US for the first time on May 23rd. My extension will be filed in April. I can't file H4 extension for her as she's not in the country.

I heard visa needs to be at least 6 months valid for your entry in US. I tried to search but couldn't find any criteria for visa. Six months criteria is just for passport.

Please give me your inputs. Thank you!

Nothing like that. Entering US with 4 months valid visa ( as in your case) will not be a problem.
