H1B_updates
We filed our I-485 in Jan,2012. We do have our AP/EAD card with us and have valid visa till 30th September, 2012. We went for a small vacation to our homecountry, and now our GC approved; while we are in abroad. Do you think we will face any problem/issues at POE? Link to comment
trackit
I am neither abroad nor has my GC been approved, but I'd like to know if someone has been through this experience as well. I assume that at POE they will see your A# and let you know that you have been greened - but again, if someone who has been through this experience can affirm, that will be great. Link to comment
JoeF
That's happening to lots of people. Not a problem. You use the AP to board the plane. At the POE, you should advise the officer that your GC got approved while you were abroad. You would then most likely get sent to secondary inspection, where they either give you an I-551 stamp (GC stamp) in the passport or you get deferred inspection. Link to comment
