trackit
Great! Congrats! I am on the similar boat: My Case Information: EB3 Labor :Apr, 2004(Approved) EB3 I-140 : Oct, 2006 (Approved) (Texas) EB3 I-485 : Jul, 2007 (Pending) (Texas) EB2 Labor : Aug, 2011(Approved) EB2 I-140 : Feb 14, 2012(Approved) (Texas) If you wont mind, can you please answer these questions? 1. Did you have to send a letter to TSC requesting them to interfile? 2. Your EB2 140 seems to have been really fast - did you go through the priority filing? 3. Did you have to go through FPs again? I had taken an infopass appt last week and the officer said that I'd have to send a letter (although, my EB2 140 has my A# and also my PD from 2004). I have the letter drafted from my lawyer and will be sending it out this week. Link to comment
Dattguru
@ vr23 1. First of all Hearty Congratulations on winning the game ! 2. I am in a similar boat like yours. EB3 PD is October 2006 and I-485 files for myself on August 2007. I did a porting to EB2 with I-140 approved on October 2011. I filed my spouse I-485 on 4th December 2012. Since then i have been waiting for approvals. I see your EB2-I140 was approved on 02/22/2012. 1. Did it take almost an year to get the I-485 approved or you were pretty sure that they were not approving it because your spouse's I-1485 was not yet filed. I see your spouse I-485 was filed on 3/1/2012 and they approved your GC on 3/5/2012. 2. Do you feel they were waiting for your spouse's I-485 to be filed and thats why it took almost an year for your GC approval ? Please share your experiences. Link to comment
crank
Dattguru, please check the dates you are referring to. this is year 2012. Link to comment
Dattguru
@ InfoSeeker23 , Thanks for correcting me . The correct statement should be " I filed my spouse I-485 on 4th December 2011. " @ Vr23 ................Please see my corrected statement when you read the query i posted for you. Link to comment

When it got approved it had the EB3 I-140 Priority date on it.This probably is the reason for the swift I-485 Approval 3) I didn't have to go for FPs again. Does your EB2 I-140 has the EB3 Priority date? Link to comment

trackit
CPO 2 weeks after I-140 approval is remarkable! Congrats! Did you have to submit a letter or did it just happen automatically? Also, when your I-140 (EB2) came about, did it have your A# and the PD from your initial EB3 application? Please share your comments, vr23 Link to comment
du
I don't think we can draw similarities from identical cases. My case is, EB3 Priority date: Aug 2003. EB3 Labor : May, 2006(Approved) EB3 I-140 : Dec, 2006 (Approved) (Texas) EB3 I-485 : Jul, 2007 (Pending) (Texas) EB2 Labor : Sep, 2011(Approved) EB2 I-140 : Oct 3, 2011(Approved) (Texas) - It shows the old EB3 priority date and my A# on it. I had sent a letter requesting porting in Feb, 2012. It has been 5 and a half months; still waiting to hear something from USCIS. Already raised 3 SRs. Took infopass 2 times. They just read out the online status which means nothing. Do I have any more options except waiting? Link to comment
Dattguru
@ ALL , Finally i got the mail from USCIS that the Card Production has been ordered and it will take 30 days for the card to reach. I went online and checked my case status. It shows Card Production. Special Thanks to vr23, InfoSeeker and trackit for all your support !! Good Luck ! Link to comment

trackit
Thanks vr23 for your input. My EB2 140 approval also has my initial PD from 2004; I am just hoping they are working on my file. I sent a letter requesting them to interfile this week (it wont reach until tomorrow); every case is unique, but yours is providing some optimism! Link to comment

rajivn786
May I know what happens to EB3 application in case if EB3 moves ahead of EB2? Can we use that to file I-485 or will porting invalidate EB3? Link to comment
