H1 B status while taking PTO (Paid Time Off/ Vacation)

Hi Everyone,

I am on H1 B, working as a full time employee for an American company currently. I am planning to transfer my H1 B to company B in April 2012.

I still have about 10 PTOs (Paid Time Off/ Vacation), so I can use 2 weeks of vacation.

My question is , will I be on status if I let them know that I will be quitting the job after using the vacation period OR will my employer just terminate my H1 B ?
