First time H1 B Stamping

Hi Friends,

i have a questions. I entered into USA with F1 Visa. In Last Oct 2011 i got approved H1 b (through consulting company). Now I got a full time job they filed my H1b transfer,

Once i got approved from my current employer

1. Can go for H1 Visa Stamping any place other than India like Canada, any Island?

I know one person who came on L1 visa and transfferred to H1 Visa here. then went to canada for stamping. No issues in his case. All the best.
