L2 to Green Card Question - Please Help

Hi,

1) I am on a L2 visa with EAD and currently working with an employer. My husband is on a L1B visa working with another employer.

Can my employer sponsor Green Card for me and what is the process ?

2) If during the process, my husband's assignment gets over and he needs to go back to India, can I still continue working here since my Green Card would be in process?

3) What are the pros/cons of applying for GC with L2 VERSUS converting from L2 to H1B1 and then going for GC?

4) If I apply for H1B1 visa now, will it be counted under cab-subject visas? I had a H1B1 visa in 2003 and I returned to India in 2004. I am now on L2.
