kalyan_ac
yes you can. Carry her passport and EAD card(I766) and you can apply. Link to comment
debo
one more question related to this. So if my spouse applies for SSN does she loose her H4 status ?? Link to comment
kalyan_ac
Unfortunately i have the same question for myself. My attorney isnt responding. I dont think one would loose the H4 status just by applying for SSN. They will probably loose the status when they start to work on EAD. In my case the H4 is expiring soon, so i dont care. JoeF
one more question related to this. So if my spouse applies for SSN does she loose her H4 status ?? No. The SSN has nothing to do with changing status. She would no longer be on H4 if she starts using the EAD to work. Link to comment
