Take H4 appointment before marriage.

Hi ,

I wish to schedule the H4 visa appointment for my wife before the actual marriage so that we dont have to wait for scheduling appointment and looking for dates after marriage..

However the by the time interview date comes, we would be married.

The problem is that DS-160 asks the marital status and relative in US.

Ideally on the date of scheduling we will be unmarried but after 15 days when the interview time comes , we wiil me married and marital status will me married instead of single.

What is the rite thing to do ? Is it fine if she fills martial status as married in DS-160 and do we need to wait till actual marriage happens even to take the appointment.

True, you have to fill the DS150 from with marital status as Married and you can take the appointment before the wedding itself.
