I submitted my application to Newyork canada visa office with an envelope, Does anyone know how much time it takes for passport to come back to you?

Is there any way to track application?

Please help.

Well I learned a lesson, and this is all for you guys, Never send an application in Mail for Canada Visa Application to NY office.

They delay like anything.

Visa application at NYC office(Tourist/TRV) takes around 30 days to get processed if sent via mail. If you send a Fedex return envelope then application will be mailed back via same and can be tracked also. If return envelope not sent then they will send Passport back via regular USPS mail which has not definite time frame and cannot be tracked.

I recommend if you need a visiting visa travel to the embassy if you can.. if you send by mail.. they will take ages to send it back

I got an email from Canadian consulate in New York that my passport has been mailed today.

To All who are expecting the TRV in mail. It will come in 2-3 days. Just be patient. I did the same thing in Washington DC. i submitted the application in person and asked them to mail me the PP. So gave them Priority envelope. If you want to track your mail. Go with Registerred mail. But bottom line is, if there say, you got the visa, then certainly you will get in mail.
