geetharajan Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 Hi, I am currently on L1-B with Company A and my visa is valid till Aug 2013. Company B wants to file a H1-B for me this year (2012) in April and effective on Oct 1st 2012 is when I can start working if my petition is approved on COS. But what if my petition was approved on premium process and then I loose my L1-B job? Does the H1-B COS still stand valid? Also, my husband is in the US on F-1, Can I change to F-2 status to avoid going back to home country for a visa stamping till Oct 2012 and then let the H1-B become effective starting Oct 1st 2012? pontevecchio Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 Avoiding visa stamping is not a good reason to complicate the issues. You should discuss the matter with a Lawyer if the L1 job is gone in future. Link to comment
