To reset the clock, do I need to wait until Apr 2013 to apply for H1B, or can I apply for H1B in Apr 2012 and start the job after Jan 2013. Can you please advise. Thank you. Link to comment

Petition for Jan 2013 start date can only be filed in July 2012. Link to comment
Attorney_22 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Share Posted January 31, 2012 Generally, you must meet the requirements upon filing the H1B petition. Therefore, you would need to file in April 2013 for a start date in fiscal year 2014. If you have additional questions please contact a qualified U.S. immigration attorney directly. Link to comment
