L1A petition but stamping is L1b

Hi,

Need some expert advise , My petition is L1A during the interview for some reason the consular did not provided L1A visa , instead of rejecting he provided me L1B stamping (really surprished with the attitude of the consular) , Now its time for my L1 extention , So the question is.

Should i file the extention for L1A as the petition is for L1A

Or Should i prepare for L1b extention , was there any chance of approvals for this kind of bizare cases ?
