BirthPlace mismatches on Birthcertificates

We are going to file 485 next month feb,

My wife birth place was mentioned as "Vellore TamilNadu" in the passport .

( its mistake but somewhat right. )

In the birth certificate it is mentioned as "Polur Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District, TamilNadu".

(Which was correct mentioned. )

Fyi, Thiruvannamalai district once it is part of Vellore District so a general name given was Passport as birthplace.

Do i need to get the birth place affidavit 2 for the same? please help me.

Nobody cares what's in your passport.

I know someone had a similar issue, but the diff. was the city name was dropped by the passport office and instead the had put-in the district name only. In his case, he had put in the correct information, as per BC.

Talk to an attorney. I think districts can be re-organized, depending on the population growth. It should not be a major issue but make sure you use what is mentioned in your BC.
