I-485 Birth Certificate

Hello Friends,

Happy New Year !!

With regards to Birth Certificate required at the time of Filing 485 - i have a quick question.

I born in a town back home in india and not sure whether my parents have registered my birth entry with dept of births and deaths office or may be entry is their but my parents have not taken yet ..

If I had to get a birth certificate from said dept , is it that it should have been issued already with in one year of my brith or can I get a birth certificate now from dept .

All documents including NA certificate and affidavits from 2 elders and any other documents as appropriate. I assume your journey towards the GC was long and hard. Hence discuss your issue proactively with a Lawyer.
