Job change within the same company on EAD

For a person (primary applicant) who filed I-485/EAD/AP in Oct 2011 and who received EAD in Dec 2011, is it allowed to accept a new job with the same employer. New job has new job title, but "similar" job duties as before. As specified before the employer is same.

AC21 does not require that one leave the sponsoring employer. It gives additional flexibility to the individual and the employer to permit promotions or other job changes within the company. These promotions or job changes can be used to continue the same green card case under AC21, as long as the new job meets the same or similar job classification requirement, the I-140 has been approved, and the I-485 has been pending at least 180 days.
