AP Still Pending

Applied 485/765 and 131 on 10/31/2011 for me and my wife. My wife already received EAD-AP combo card. I received EAD card but AP is still in "Initial Review". As USCIS processing time for AP is 3 months.

1) Do i need to wait till 3 months of processing time?

2) Call National Customer Service Center first and then take info pass if needed?

3) Direct take info pass to check status?
