H1B stamping- Only 6mths remaining in 6th year

I am in the last year of my H1 B visa. I have 10 months remaining. My company is looking into GC application currently.

I plan to visit India in March and will need to get my stamping done for my current employer. This will not be an extension, but a new Visa stamp. I will have only 7 months remaining on my visa then.

I recently heard that there was a rule in the past where visas were not stamped if only 6 months remained on the H1B validity.

Is that still the case? Are there any rules around stamping in the last few months of the 6yr validity?
