H1B - 6 Yrs

Hello Experts.

I left US before my 2nd H1B extension expires and currently in india for the past 1.5 yrs.

Is it possible to reclaim the period which i didn;t spent in US? see below for more details.

Actual H1B expiry data June 2010, I left US on Jun 2009 so is it possible to apply for extension from India now for the 1yr which is part of the 2nd extension.

Please provide me an answer, depending on the answer i need to decide whether i need to go for L1.

If you use the H1 route you will have only one year. If you come in on L1 status your employer can file a new cap subject H1 and you can get a total of 6 years minus the current L1 time.
