bk1803
My AP and I94 has expired and EAD is valid. I'm not planning to travel till my next EAD renewal in about 10 months. Do you require by law to keep your AP current? I94 date was based on AP date so both are expired. As far as I've read AP is a travel document and not required unless you go outside the country. Please advise. Link to comment
JoeF
AP is indeed only needed if you want to travel abroad. But it is a good idea to always have a valid AP, in case you have to travel on short notice, e.g., for an emergency in your family, or on a sudden business trip. Link to comment
pontevecchio
The only reason would be to be ready in case of a family emergency back ome. Otherwise you do not need to renew the AP. Link to comment
