san4u28 Posted December 21, 2011 Report Share Posted December 21, 2011 Hi All, I am currently on STEM OPT which will expire on June 2012, my employer will be filling for my H1B on Apr 2012 (I am thinking should I apply for premium processing ?). I would like to confirm the following -- I will automatically get CAP-GAP from June 2012 until Sept 30th 2012 following which my H1B will kick in? I wanted to see if there are any people in the similar situation as me, I would like to gather as much information as possible. Link to comment
livliv Posted December 21, 2011 Report Share Posted December 21, 2011 It is not automatic. You will need to inform your school's DSO who will make the entry in SEVIS and give you cap-gap authorization. Premium is up to you. Link to comment
