I485 Question: Were you inspected by Immigration Officer?

In Part 3, A There is a question 'Were you inspected by Immigration Officer?'

What does this mean.

It means what it says. Did you present your visa at the POE and get admittted legally with an I94 or did you sneak across?

Right. It is asking whether your entry to the U.S. was at an authorized port of entry, where each person is "inspected" (to differing degrees) by the Port of Entry officers.

The usual answer shoud be Yes unless you sneak into this country via ship or any other illeagal means.....
