babalu84
hello experts, I was working on L1 visa for 4 years and now company has converted it from L1 to H1B. This visa will expire in 2 years and I will complete total 6 years in US. But now I also have I 140 approved status. So my visa extension will happen automatically every time it expires till I 485 is filed. Now, if I switch my company, will that same automatic extesion apply or will the new company has to start GC process all over again? If the new company has to restart new GC process all over, then if the new process does not get I 140 approved again within 2 years, I will have to leave US as my total stay will be 6 years then. FYI - current company will not provide a copy of I 140. Please help as I have very limited knowledge in case of I 140 and H1B visa extensions. Thanks. Link to comment
